When we gather for outdoor worship we not only grow in faith but grow in relationship with one another. We have food and fun and then turned to God as we worship 'camp style' with praise, prayer and the Word proclaimed! The children play in the Carnes' backyard, and we gather in chairs, around the grill and under trees in the yard. When we began to worship it was with a free and joyous spirit!
We will gather on August 29 for our final outdoor (evening) worship of the summer, rather than morning worship. Please take part in this evening of powerful, yet relaxed, worship in God's creation. This week we will gather at 6:00pm for food and fellowship and at 6:30pm we will begin worship. We gather for outdoor worship on the lot just north of the church at Monmouth and Washington Streets. Bring a lawnchair or blanket and come out for a great evening with lively worship, friendly fellowship and food from the grill!
On August 1 we are still going to have hot dogs and prepackaged chips and drinks provided by the church, but any attendees are also welcome to bring a side dish to share if they wish. It is not expected or necessary.
