We are pleased to introduce Patty Axcell, our new administrative assistant. Patty has a degree in business and has a broad range of office experience. She and her husband, Don, live in Galesburg with their 15-year-old daughter, Raina. Patty has two other children and five stepchildren. When her grandchildren needed childcare she opened an in-home daycare, which she just recently closed after 11 years. This part-time position allows her flexibility with her family, which is very important to her, and a way to serve her God and the United Methodist Church, of which she is a member (at the Henderson United Methodist Church).
Patty looks forward to meeting the people of this church in-person, but in the meantime will be available through Zoom and by phone to meet people during office hours. Patty is also glad to meet people at the church by appointment, though the Trustees and Staff-Parish relations committees remind everyone that masks, hand washing and social distancing is expected on church property and at church activities. Please find a way to welcome her to this community of faith!
