On May 23 we gathered in the lot North of the church for a cookout and outdoor worship. We had food and fun and then turned to God as we worshiped 'camp style' with praise, prayer and the Word proclaimed! The children played in the Carnes' backyard, and people gathered in chairs, around the grill and under trees in the yard. When we began to worship it was freeing and joyous (and comfortable)!
Over the summer we will gather for three more Sundays (June 27, August 1, August 29) with outdoor worship in the evening, rather than morning worship. Please come be a part of these wonderful evenings of powerful, yet relaxed, worship in God's creation. This week (June 27) we will gather at 6:30pm for food and fellowship and at 7:00pm we will begin worship. Each week we will gather for outdoor worship on the lot just north of the church at Monmouth and Washington Streets. Bring a lawnchair or blanket and come out for a great evening with lively worship, friendly fellowship and food from the grill!
