FISH of Galesburg and the Galesburg Noon Lions Club are sponsoring a River Bend Mobile Food Pantry. If you or anyone you know is struggling or living in uncertainty right now, please stop by the First Church of God (1080 Harrison Street) on Saturday, November 7, 2020.
Food distribution begins at 11am. Please do not arrive before 10:30am and remain in your car. This is a drive-thru food pantry.
Of course, the Abingdon-Avon area has two food pantries available each week.
The Cupboard and Closet is a ministry of this church, located at the Community Center on Martin Street and is open Mondays 9-10am, Thursdays 5-6pm, and Saturdays 1-2pm. Anyone who needs a little extra help in these difficult times is welcome to come up to once a week. No ID or paperwork is required.
The Abingdon Food Panty is open every Tuesday 12-3pm. If you have gone to the Pantry in the past, please know the the process has changed. During COVID-19 clients may come up to once a week and no ID or paperwork is required.
